Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where the girls at YA Highway post a weekly writing- or reading-related question for participants to respond to on their own blogs. You can hop from destination to destination and get everybody’s unique take on the topic.
This Week’s Topic: Write a dialogue between two of your favorite YA characters…
Thanks to the rewrite I’ve been working diligently on, I lack the creative energy to do this week’s topic any justice. That said, I came across the most AWESOME image on Pinterest last night. It totally made me chuckle, and it works perfectly for this prompt because it’s a conversational mash-up of two YA stories.
Behold…
🙂
If you could hear a conversation between characters from two different YA books, who would you choose?
LOL 😀
This picture had me giggling (Thank you!)
Well my take on RTW brings Sean (The Scorpio Races), Anna & Etienne (Anna and The French Kiss) in the same room…I needed a creative outlet as I have taken a small break from revising until this weekend 🙂
Ooh, you chose two of my favorite YA characters, Elodie! Can’t wait to hop over and read their chat. 🙂
Ha ha! I love those any mashup that involves Twilight. It’s almost guaranteed to be funny. Hope the rewrite is going well!
Thanks, Tracey. It actually *is* going well, today at least. 🙂
Oh, funny. How about Death from THE BOOK THIEF? Not sure who you’d cross him with, but he’d make a good character to put in a conversation.
Oh, Kirsten, I STILL haven’t read THE BOOK THIEF! Shameful, I know! It’s on my nightstand, though, and my goal is to read it in February. 🙂
LOLOL. Love that.
Thanks, Meredith. Totally made me laugh too. 🙂
So funny! That is the perfect mashup. 🙂
Isn’t it? So wrong, yet so SO right!
Okay, that was disturbing and hilarious at the same time. I love what you did for today’s RTW. (And I miss road-tripping. *sniff*)
I was missing RTW too, Alison, which is why I just has to jump in today. When will you be back to blogging? I miss your words! Also, I loved your YA Confidential post today. You are a brave and fabulous person!
😀 😀 😀 😀 Too. Funny. (To tell you the truth, when I found out the person who played Cedric Diggory was going to be Edward, I had a mini heart attack! I couldn’t believe someone I associated with HP would end up in Twilight… :P)
I know what you mean… two words colliding that definitely should NOT!
HA! That is so amazing! I love the internet.
Me too. I credit Pinterest for this image, (which I know you’re avoiding!). It’s where I find all my best stuff. 🙂
Bwahaha! I will never be able to watch that scene without thinking of this! 🙂
I know! Isn’t it ridiculous! Nothing like a Cedric/Edward mash-up to brighten one’s day. 🙂
