If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you may have noticed that I’ve never used Google Friend Connect. Why? Mostly because it’s a huge pain in the neck to install on a WordPress blog. (Or, maybe it’s not; maybe I’m just too big of a technological Neanderthal to figure it out. But, I digress…)
Now, though, I’ve decided the time has come to give readers an easy way to subscribe to my WordPress blog via Blogger. Thankfully, Emy Shin came up with a fairly simple solution and was gracious enough to share it with those of us who are blog-smart-stunted. Now you can easily follow this blog via Blogger just by clicking on that nifty little button on the sidebar. See? Right over there —>
Other places you can find me? How about Twitter, Goodreads, Pinterest, and Instagram? I don’t auto-follow, but I do love to link up with fellow writers, readers, runners, moms, yogis, (very) amateur photographers, and anyone else who’s thoughtful, funny, insightful, or otherwise awesome. Regarding your question, I have clicked on the "follow" button — and was able to follow you through the link. If you click on your Blogger blog (http://amongdahlias.blogspot.com/), you can see that my icon has appeared there. So I think yours is working (at least for me). Can you ask another blogger if it's working for them, too? (That is, if they're able to follow you.)
I don't know if this is an isolated incident. Sometimes, Blogger does act up. Maybe it's a cache problem?
(Also, if you have already followed your own blog — which I personally did to see how things work 🙂 — you will get the message: "You already follow YOUR BLOG NAME" when clicking on the link. That means it's working. :))

I was already following through email subscription, but I went ahead and followed through the little follow button now. I guess it and’t even occurred to me this was a wordpress account. Probably because of your URL.
P.S. I just bought a huge painting of poppies and hung it over my bed last night. 😀
