Tell me, lovelies… What’s one word that best describes your summer so far?

Average. Haha, such a buzzkill. Actually, it’s been pretty good so far, but that’s two words, so, uh… varied.
Average is better than awful, right? 😉 I do like varied better, though!
Delightful!
Love it, Jenny! A perfect summer word! (Also, I owe you an email… I’m waiting to hear back from someone who might be perfect. Just checking to see if she’s interested before I forward her info to you! :))
Thanks, Katy! I only have one day open so I won’t fill it for now.
Sounds good! I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from her.
Productive.
I’ve been critiquing for Jaime (enjoying every word of it :D) and moving along with my own WiP..yay!
Beautiful pics by the way, Katy! 😀 Your girlie looks so happy, that cake appears to be very yummy and I love that flare picture (very artistic!)
Thanks, Elodie! Productive is an awesome summer word. In fact, mine’s been pretty productive as well. Now, to keep the momentum!
Mmmm, strawberry cake! I’m a big fan of the Smitten Kitchen recipe. It has less sugar, which is good because you feel moderately more healthy, but bad in that you then feel you can eat way more than you should.
My summer in a word? Hmmm. Hot.
I’ll have to check that recipe out, Meredith. I actually cut the sugar for this recipe in half, and subbed vanilla yogurt for half the butter. So, it was a *little* better for us, but far too yummy for its own good. 🙂
Oh wow. These are great pictures!!! Yum strawberry cake!
Thanks, Lynn! That cake was amazing… I highly recommend the recipe if you have lots of fresh strawberries to use up.
Um…illness.
I’ve been sick since the end of May, so… That can only mean that the rest of the summer will be SO much better, right? 🙂
Aww, I hope so, Jaime! Here’s to a July of good health and fun in the sun. 🙂
Domestic.
I’ve never spent much time in the kitchen (outside of my college job, anyway), but I’ve been cooking and baking like crazy out of boredom since I’m currently unemployed.
My entire life can be described by the word domestic! Did you check out the strawberry cake recipe… It’s easy and yummy if you want to try something new.
Busy! My summer schedule is packed, but with all fun stuff so it’s a good thing. 🙂
Yay! Enjoy. 🙂
Exhausting! But I think that’s because we got a puppy around Memorial Day weekend, and puppies have boundless stores of energy!
Love your pics, especially the solstice one!
Thank you! Puppies are cute, but a ton of work. I have two grown dogs and they’re still a pain in my neck. Enjoy. 😉
Fast!
I just realized that June’s almost over… NO!
INSANE. I have a little bit of time to rest right now, but once June comes around it is going to be nuts. I’m in the calm before the storm right now.
Your summer schedule boggles my mind, Jess! I have no idea how you do everything you do! I hope you enjoy every minute of your travels and somehow manage to fit some writing in too. 🙂
Pretty pictures. You ask me that today and I say: Melancholy. But I think that overall summer is more like: Challenging. But this is what makes us the people that we are.
Absolutely. Hopefully you have some awesome moments mixed in with the challenges. ❤
I love when you share pics of your daughter! SO CUTE!
My summer so far? Umm…fun. We went on vacation as soon as school was out, but now I’m ready to be PRODUCTIVE. 🙂
Yay! I’ve been thinking of you, wondering where the heck you’ve been! I hope your family vacation was full of awesome, and I’m happy to hear that you’re ready to be productive. I miss JD! Oh, and Max is *almost* ready to come visit you again, if you still have time for him. I’m nearly done with this rewrite!
