You are a lucky California girl–I love your state.
I’m about to start MOLOKAI, a historical fiction recommendation.
    Happy 4th!

Okay, first off, I’d re-caption the “Lucky” picture to “Hotties”. Just sayin’…

I’m currently reading Cassandra Clare’s CLOCKWORK ANGEL, because I was really craving something Steampunk (Colin would kill me for not diving into LEVIATHAN instead), and I love Ms. Clare’s stuff. I haven’t gotten very far into, though, because I’m also currently reading (and loving!) GREAT EXPECTATIONS with Jess Silverstein and her students.

Hope your summer’s going well so far, but judging by the pics, I can pretty much tell that it is. And have a very safe and Happy Independence Day! 😀

Haha! Hotties… I’m sure that would go over well with strangers/new blog readers. 🙂 You’ve got some great books in your line-up. I’ve yet to read Cassandra Clare(!) but I should probably remedy that soon!

I’m with Jaime on this! You both look GREAT! Your kiddo is as always adorable and did you manage to say “no” to that face? 😀
I just finished reading LOOKING FOR ALASKA and just started CIRCLE OF SILENCE.
Haooy 4th of July, Katy! Hope you have a great day with your friends and family 😀

I LOVE that pic of you and your husband! Right now I’m about to start Bitter End. Or Summer in the City. Depends on what I grab for when I head to the beach tomorrow. 🙂 Happy Fourth!

Adorable little girl. I’ve got one about that age and she always throws out those cute smiles and pleases when asking for something.

I’m reading Between Mom and Jo by Julie Anne Peters right now.
