THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER: A Giveaway

So, yesterday I finished this book…

…and I’m still sort of reeling from, um, everything about it.

In the interest of not giving any details away, I’m going to keep my opinion of MARA DYER to myself (at least for now). There’s just no good way to discuss this book without spoiling major plot points. I will share the GoodReads blurb though:

Mara Dyer doesn’t think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can’t remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.
She doesn’t believe that after everything she’s been through, she can fall in love.
She’s wrong.

And I will say this: I enjoyed the strange creepiness of this book. I liked that I never really knew what was going on as far as Mara’s brand of crazy was concerned. I loved the sometimes hilarious banter between Mara and hot-boy Noah (I also love the name Noah). I thought Miami was a very cool, very unique setting. And I was blown away by the ending, but I won’t tell you why, because what fun would that be? 🙂

Want to read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer before its September 27th release? You can win an ARC right here!

  1. Wow. I really like this book cover. This book sounds like an interesting read for sure!!

Okay, I am super excited for Claimed to come out (Rebecca Zanetti) Her first, Fated, was really good. Woot.

So, I already subscribe and already follow you on Twitter and I tweeted this so, I’m thinking I get
2 for the already subscribing, 1 for the already following twitter, 2 for the tweeting and 1 for the comment. If I can add, I’d say that’s 6 entries.

    Happy FRIDAY EVE!

  4. I want to answer both of your questions. Just for fun.

1.Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma is an amazing book. It’s heartwrenching and thought provoking. You’ll google consensual incest and start rethinking your views on love. Why can’t two people who truly love each other be together?
I really loved Forbidden and the characters were so real to me.

2.So many books I want to read and own and have on my shelf right now. I’m just dying to read these books.
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. (Release date: September 29, 2011)
Vanish by Sophie Jordan. (Release date: September 6, 2011)
Tiger’s Voyage by Colleen Houck. (Release date: November 1, 2011)
Shut Out by Kody Keplinger. (Release date: September 5, 2011)

I’m really looking forward to the release of 2 books, The Probability of Miracles and The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight (whew, long title!) I haven’t had the chance to read them just yet, but plot-wise, they’re the most attractive summaries this year. And both are contemporaries too, which I really love.
