One-Word Wednesday

First, thank you all a million times over for your kind, supportive, and often humorous comments regarding Monday’s post. The awesomeness of my writing buddies and blog readers never ceases to amaze me. While I hate knowing that so many of you are also experiencing a case of the blahs (and for so many different reasons!), it is comforting to know that I’m not alone, and that I’ve got plenty of friends in my corner, rooting me on.

So, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you…

Brownies and Bud Light for everyone!

{Impromptu date night with my husband at The Fish Hopper. Yum!}

{Pasta with homemade Bolognese}

{The cookie and the kid. :))

{Happy August to me!}

Tell me: What’s the last item you treated yourself to, just because?

    Umm…I splurged and bought my daughter Big Time Rush concert tickets. Does that count? No? Okay, how about a Rita’s Gelati then? YUM.

    Also, I’ll take a Miller Lite, thank you. πŸ˜‰ Glad you’re in a slightly better place. And thanks for sharing the pics! I love seeing updates on your life. πŸ™‚

    Thanks again for bringing us all together for the pity party, Katy! I think it’s such a great reminder to get it all out, leave it behind, and get lots of hugs in the process. We need that! Ooh, your pasta bolognese looks amazing! That’s one of my favorite dishes (and pretty much all comfort foods!) so I’m definitely going to check out that recipe. Also so glad you got a date night with your hubby! The view at that restaurant is beautiful! And, as always, your girlie is absolutely adorable!! I hope you have a wonderful day today!

      Thanks, Temre. Funny how things start to look up when you realize you’re not alone (and that others have problems that are infinitely bigger than your own). Hope all’s well with you and your WiP and your gorgeous girls. πŸ™‚

    Oreo shake for dinner on Monday. Wildly non-nutritious and immature meal? Yes. A necessary treat-myself thing to do on a blah Monday? Also yes. πŸ™‚

    Glad you’re feeling better!

    I always enjoy your one-word Wednesday. Impromptu dates always rocks. And I’m about to splurge on hot chocolate, even if it’s still summer time. Hope the blahs keep getting better!

    I bought myself a latte yesterday on my way home from the library. A grande. With flavoring.

    Glad you’re feeling better!

    Impromptu dates? Awesome and that view wow πŸ˜€ As always, love your pictures and glad youΒ΄re feeling better! Oh and that pasta pic; YUM, my hubby makes a mean Bolognese (his uncle is Italian and gave him a recipe) πŸ˜€
    I splurged this week and bought myself the blu-ray of River of No Return (with Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum)…I watched it when I was a teenie and really liked it πŸ˜›

      I don’t know that movie, Elodie, but now I’m curious about it. And thanks… I always have fun deciding which photos to use for my Wednesday posts. πŸ™‚

    I bought some cute sweaters yesterday just because I’m dang tired of last years clothes and was fearing fall for the same reason.

  8. Becky says:

    Your daughter is so cute! I splurged on these ridiculous gold glittery shoes that were waaaay out of my price range, but well…gold glittery shoes, y’know?

  9. Sophia Richardson says:

    Aww at the date night. You guys.

    I treated myself to three nonfiction books, since neither of my libraries had them and I really want to read them. Now they just need to get here from the US…
